SFHN-BHS Mission Mental Health Services

Mission Mental Health Services is a community mental health and wellness center located at 2712 Mission Street in the heart of the vibrant Mission district. MMHS serves the diverse community of the Mission and specializes in treating the Spanish-speaking and LGBT populations who suffer from a wide-range of mental health and emotional problems including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.  Services provided are team-based, person-centered, and culturally-appropriate and include individual and group therapy, education and support groups, intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, and primary care.  A multidisciplinary team consisting of medical and psychosocial professionals and other clinical support staff serve approximately 1000 clients using a wellness and recovery model and strength-based approach to help empower clients toward wellness, self-management, and independent living within their community.  Primary care services are also offered on-site to clients who suffer from chronic medical conditions and are unable to successfully link with their medical home.  MMHS is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  Services are offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
